Our Coaches
Head Coach - Emily Potter
|
Coach Potter is going into her second year as head coach with the Sun Devils. She began her lacrosse career at Horizon High School and went on to play for us here at Arizona State. During her time as a player at ASU, she was a integral part of the midfield game, especially as a draw specialist. She has a wealth of knowledge on both sides of the ball and has proven herself as an excellent coach and as a mentor for young women and is creating a positive, winning culture.
Potter received an MS degree in 2019 at Arizona State, after completing her two undergraduate degrees in Nutrition and Family & Human Development with a minor in Social Work. Coach Potter keeps our team both mentally and physically in shape. She currently works for the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs at the Phoenix VA. |
Assistant Coach - Ivy Richey
|
This will be Richey's first year coaching at ASU. During her time as a player for the Sun Devils, Ivy emerged as an impactful leader and was named Rookie of the Year as well as Defenseman of the Year the following three seasons. She earned the trust of her teammates and coaches resulting in her twice being named a team captain.
She also brings club coaching experience to Tempe, having coached with Desert Vista High School, AZ Xtreme Lacrosse Club, and Desert Heat Lacrosse Club and winning two Championships. Coach Ivy is pursuing a post-graduate degree from Arizona State in Sports Law after completing her undergraduate studies in 2018 with a degree in Sports Media & Business Management. |
